MEMORANDUM – COVID-19 Update

April 30, 2020

Dear Canterbury Residents, Family Members, Trustees and Community Partners,

I wanted to provide you all with an update on what is happening at Canterbury Court and our future plans.

Governor Kemp is expected to announce today whether the existing shelter in place order will expire at 11:59pm this evening.  Those that are considered “medically fragile or elderly” are to remain under the shelter in place order through May 13th.

Last week we communicated that Canterbury would continue to observe all current policies and protocols in place to protect our community through May 13th at a minimum.  A copy of those policies and procedures is posted on our website at www.canterburyccrc.org.

We will continue to monitor what is happening in our state as well as the guidance from the Department of Health, CDC, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and LeadingAge as well as the best practices of other senior living communities to determine what adjustments, if any,  should be made be made to our policies and protocols after May 13th and when those adjustments should be made.  We expect that when we do decide to revise our policies and protocols that it will be a slow transition rather than a complete reopening of everything at once.

If you have any questions or concerns, you can reach me at 470.381.6790 or debimcneil@nullcanterburyccrc.org.

Warmly,

Debi McNeil
