Dear Canterbury Residents, Employees, Family Members, Trustees, and Community Partners,
Today we learned of a new positive Covid case with one of our staff members. The individual is fully vaccinated. Individuals who were in direct contact with the staff member have been contacted so that they can be tested.
As part of our current protocols, masks are required for everyone at Canterbury Court, including residents. Masks should be worn at all times except in dining, inside a resident’s apartment, or outside. No guests are allowed in the dining room at this time. All visitors must check in at our front desk to be screened.
If you are experiencing any Covid related symptoms which include fever, chills, headache, runny nose, congestion, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, please remain isolated until symptoms are gone and/or get a Covid test. For residents who are feeling ill or wish to be tested onsite, please call the healthcare clinic at x3159 to schedule a home visit. Do not come to the clinic. Testing through our lab may take a few days depending on the timing of when they pick up the test. For residents who can drive, we recommend visiting an offsite testing location that generally has same day results. CovidCareGA which was doing testing at the Brookhaven Marta station has moved to the Northeast Plaza located at 3371 Buford Hwy, 30319. They have same day test results and are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9am – 5pm and Saturday and Sunday, 9am – 4pm. Please wear a mask and remain quarantined if possible until you have a negative test result and/or symptoms have subsided.
