Dear Canterbury Residents, Employees, Family Members, Trustees, and Community Partners,
It has been almost three weeks since we have had to send out a notification of a positive Covid case and we have been Covid free in the community for the last few weeks. We did just learn, however, of a positive case through our monthly testing. The staff member does not work in Healthcare and has not been in the community since February 14th. They are not currently showing any symptoms.
Even with nearly 100% of our residents vaccinated and over 70% of our employees vaccinated, we will continue to test healthcare staff on a weekly basis and non-healthcare staff on a monthly basis until there is more data regarding the ability of vaccinated individuals’ ability to carry and transmit the virus.
