MEMORANDUM – COVID-19 UPDATE

December 31, 2020

Dear Canterbury Residents, Employees, Family Members, Trustees, and Community Partners,

Today we learned of an additional staff member that works in healthcare that has tested positive.  This staff member does not have direct resident contact and is not currently showing any symptoms. We were also notified by an Independent Living resident today that they have tested positive for Covid-19 after learning of an exposure from the holidays.  They are also not currently experiencing any symptoms and will remain quarantined for the necessary time period. They have not been in direct contact with any other residents or staff.

As of today, our Third Floor has been released from quarantine, however, our Second Floor Nursing Pavilion remains under quarantine until we have no cases.

Cases are continuing to increase daily and the positive rate in Fulton County is now above 10%. With the increased amount of travel and social gatherings over the holidays, it is critical for everyone to continue to minimize social interactions, maintain proper social distancing and wear a mask.

We wish everyone a happy and healthy new year.
