Dear Canterbury Residents, Employees, Family Members, Trustees, and Community Partners,

I unfortunately need to report today that we are experiencing another cluster of Covid cases within our Healthcare Department (second and third floors).  Yesterday we shared news of 2 staff members who have tested positive.  Today we have learned of 5 additional cases that include 1 healthcare staff member, 2 second floor residents, 1 third floor resident, and 1 outside provider that works with our residents.  We are still awaiting some results from tests that were done on December 15th.  Additionally, another round of staff testing was done today, and we will not have those results until the weekend or early next week.  Family members of the affected residents have been contacted.

The second and third floors will remain quarantined through December 30th at the earliest. Staff will utilize full PPE when entering resident apartments.  Healthcare staff will continue to test twice weekly until all cases are resolved.
