MEMORANDUM – COVID-19 UPDATE

December 4, 2020

Dear Canterbury Residents, Employees, Family Members, Trustees, and Community Partners,

We have received notification today of another staff member who has tested positive for Covid-19.  They are not currently showing any symptoms.  The staff member works in our Nursing Pavilion which will require the second floor to be quarantined.  Visitation, communal dining, and activities will be paused. All residents on our second floor are being tested as a precautionary measure. We conducted rapid response antigen tests for all of our healthcare staff this morning with no additional positive cases noted at this time.  We will go back to twice weekly PCR testing for healthcare staff as well.

I also failed to share yesterday some good news that we do have.  We are happy to report that the 5 residents and 4 staff members that we had previously reported as positive cases in November have all recovered.

We will continue to inform you of any new cases we learn about.

If you have any questions or concerns, you can reach me at 470.381.6790 or debimcneil@nullcanterburyccrc.org, Julie Parker, Chief Operating Officer, at 404.201.7067 or julieparker@nullcanterburyccrc.org, or Liz Woltzen, Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, at 404.231.8269 or lizwoltzen@nullcanterburyccrc.org.
