Dear Canterbury Residents, Employees, Family Members, Trustees, and Community Partners,
We have learned today that a resident of our Nursing Pavilion has tested positive for Covid-19. The resident went out to the hospital yesterday for non-Covid related reasons and received a positive result while at the hospital. The resident had been under quarantine prior to going out to the hospital. All residents in our Nursing Pavilion were tested today as a precaution.
We are continuing to proceed with our tighter restrictions for our Nursing Pavilion which include no communal dining and exercise classes, no salon appointments, and no garden visits.
Healthcare staff continue to be tested twice weekly. All results to date from both staff and resident tests have been negative. We are also happy to report that 3 of our 4 staff that had previously tested positive have recovered and returned to work.
