MEMORANDUM – COVID-19 Update

September 25, 2020

Dear Canterbury Residents, Employees, Family Members, Trustees, and Community Partners,

Today we have learned of another employee on our healthcare floor who has tested positive for Covid-19.  The employee was last at work on September 23rd.  We do not believe that this case is connected to the prior positive results from the last two weeks based on schedules.

We are continuing to proceed with our tighter restrictions for our Nursing Pavilion which include no communal dining and exercise classes, no salon appointments, and no garden visits.  Healthcare staff are using N95 masks and face shields as well.

We completed all our Resident testing on Monday. All our Residents on the second floor have tested negative. We will retest all residents again in five days.  Healthcare staff will be tested twice a week until we have no positive cases and then we will resume with weekly testing. As of this point, we have received most of the results from our first round of Healthcare staff testing this week, and with the exception of this one positive, all others were negative.

All other results from our monthly testing for non-healthcare staff have come back negative. We will continue to update you as we receive any additional test results.
