Dear Canterbury Residents, Employees, Family Members, Trustees, and Community Partners,
Today we learned that two Independent Living residents have tested positive for Covid-19. It is believed that one contracted the virus from activities outside of Canterbury and then passed it to the other resident. Additionally, one of our massage therapists has notified us of a positive diagnosis as well. They last saw a client in our community on August 7th.
Our teams are identifying those individuals who have been in contact with these residents up to two days prior to exhibiting symptoms and those individuals will be quarantined along with the positive residents per our protocols.
We will monitor the individuals who have been in close contact with the positive employee for symptoms, and we will continue to keep you fully informed of any new cases we identify in the community.
