MEMORANDUM – COVID-19 Update

June 17, 2020

Dear Canterbury Residents, Employees, Family Members, Trustees, and Community Partners,

Yesterday we were notified by the contractor that renovates apartments within our Community that one of their employees who works in our community tested positive for COVID-19. They learned this after testing all of their employees throughout their company.  The individual that tested positive was not exhibiting any signs of illness.

We have determined that this individual did not have any direct contact with Canterbury employees for longer than the time needed to check in at the front desk, during which time they were wearing a mask. The individual also did not have any direct contact with residents and wore a mask at all times while outside of the apartments in which they were working.

There were two other contractors that also work within our community that did have direct contact with the individual who tested positive.  All three of these contractors will quarantine for a minimum of 14 days and will be required to received negative tests before returning.
